Google Webmaster and Analytics:

These seem like a great way to monitor an active web site.
Because I have just set this up and the service takes a few days to collect stats, there is nothing to show.

What I learned:

The pro of using this is that the trend and analytics could help fine-tune a site and improve it based on these results,
then recheck periodically to see if the changes have improved the user experience. Also, it would be good
evidence of success/failure for a client, so show what pages were working, who is using the site, what
is not working.

The con - each search engine needs to be addressed with their own
tracking tools, so keeping current with all the search engines would be time-consuming.
